Tradition says that you'll be blessed with luck and prosperity if you find the toy baby under your slice. Better yet, you become the "king" or "queen" for the day!

Cake Ingredients:

  • 2 packages (1/4 oz each) of Active Dry Yeast
  • 1/2 cup of warm Water
  • 3/4 cup of Sugar
  • 1/2 cup of Butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup of warm 2% Milk
  • 2 large Egg Yolks
  • 1-1/4 tsp of Salt
  • 1 tsp of Grated Lemon Zest
  • 1/4 tsp of Ground Nutmeg
  • 3-1/4 to 3-3/4 cups of All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp of Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 large Egg

Glaze Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups of Confectioners' Sugar
  • 2 tsp of Lemon Juice
  • 2 to 3 tbsp of Water
  • Colored Sugars (Green, Purple & Yellow)

After baking, don't forget to place a toy baby under one slice!
